An approximately 130 sqm single-family house designed for my dad. The house sits on a concrete pier foundation anchored in the bedrock 2-3 meters below ground surface to minimize CO2e from the building foundation and to minimize the building footprint on the ground itself. The elevation of the buiding also serves as a visual threshold between the interior life of the building and the public road just outside while also enhancing the view of the shore further across the road. 

The volume of the house was to a large extent dictated by the plan regulations restricting the maximum building height to +12m above sea level and with a min. 20° roof angle.

Estimated to be completed in August 2026.
